Answers will be served once and for all and all disputes regarding the ufc Light Heavyweight title will be finally be settled when Brazilian superstars kick, punch and pummel it down to the last seconds or until the lights go out. Issues and controversial decisions late last year led to a very disgruntled fan base. Even hardcore fans and veteran fighters alike have voiced their disgust about the bad scoring system that ultimately decides the fate of the warriors if the fight goes to the judges’ scorecards. Even top UFC mogul Dana White had been equally dismayed by the smorgasbord of great fights going down the drain because of controversial decisions of incompetent judges with limited perspective because of their stationary view of the fight.

These kinds of close fights usually causes dissension and unrest in the rank of fans and fighters especially if the battles fought are title bouts between top calibersuperstars, hungry contenders and proud champions.
And so to feed the hungry mob and give them more meat to appease their insatiable bloodlust, Dana White scrambled to make the rematch happen once and for all to see who the rightful kingpin of the 205 division really is. Mauricio Rua felt that he had been robbed because he simply dominated all five rounds with devastating leg kicks that took out lyoto machida’s lead leg and threw him off his game; he constantly pushed the pace and was the aggressor all throughout the fight. And although Machida managed to squeak out a victory and maintain his belt, the resounding boos in the arena as he limped to his locker room proved that the crowd believes otherwise as they share shogun’s sentiments.
Whatever happens, expect an explosion of blood and fireworks because both men are out in the biggest fight of their careers. This title fight is what champions and future Hall of Famers are made of. Shogun is hungry for what he believes is rightfully his all along while Machida is out to redeem his tarnished name and prove that his successful title defense was no fluke. For hardcore fight fans out there, this is a Brazilian brawl you don’t want to miss.
